The vessel was built in the Cosco shipyard in China and will arrive in Europe in November this year.
Discovery is a six-legged jack-up vessel that can operate in water depths of 40 metres. Its main crane can lift 1,000 tonnes.
The ship can “work in far harsher weather conditions than previous vessels used in the offshore wind industry,” say the two companies.
