E.ON brings 229MW of US wind, solar into service

E.ON started-up the Grandview 1 wind farm in the Texas Panhandle using 118 GE turbines.

The project, near Amarillo, is a joint venture between the German group and GE Energy Financial Services.

E.ON has also brought the 18MW Fort Huachuca Solar Plant into service on a US Army base, after working with project owner Tucson Electric Power (TEP) and the US Army Energy Initiatives Task Force.
