The government plans to carry out rolling tenders for five consecutive years, to build 3.5GW of additional wind in the North Sea by 2023.
The Dutch Wind Energy Association (NWEA) expects €11-18bn ($12.3-20.1bn) in investments into Netherlands offshore projects by 2023, and said thanks to the approval of the amendment a first offshore bidding round can be opened in April.
