Dutch investor takes 50% stake in Scotland's Carraig Gheal wind

The 46MW facility in the Argyll and Bute region is being developed by local group GreenPower International.

Commissioning of the wind farm’s 20 SWT-2.3 Siemens turbines is due in late 2012.

GreenPower will finance the rest of the project via UK banks.

The 50% stake in Carraig Gheal is the second UK wind-power investment by Ampere Equity Fund, which is managed by ethical finance group Triodos Bank of the Netherlands.
