Dong sets price range for IPO at DKr200-255 per share

Danish utility Dong Energy has set an indicative price range of DKr200-255 ($30.04-38.30) per share for the initial public offering of between 15.1% and 17.4% of its existing shares through a partial sell-down of its current shareholders.

The Kingdom of Denmark will sell part of its existing stake in the company but retain a 50.1% shareholding, down from 58.8% now.

“The company has grown from primarily being a Danish utility business to becoming a growing international company with a leading position in the offshore wind sector,” says Danish finance minister Claus Hjort Frederiksen.

US investment giant Goldman Sachs and others currently control another 17.9%
