Results from a three-month testing programme at MRP's Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind power project off Scotland showed the data collected by a unit from technology developer FLiDAR matched up well against readings taken at the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult meteorological mast off the coast of Blyth, UK.

"This milestone will significantly increase the value of the data we are delivering to the offshore wind industry and further reduce the cost of offshore wind resource assessments," says FLiDAR general manager Bruce Douglas.
