From just 13MW of installed wind capacity in 2009 the country had 2.8GW by last year, including one the world's largest onshore wind farms, Czech utility CEZ's 600MW Fantanele Cogealac.
Solar saw its own five-year boom, and totalled 1.2GW in 2014.
