Developers set for Costa Rica wind tender despite uncertainty

A mixture of smaller, local developers and bigger players are vying for the 100MW being tendered in lots of 20MW each.

Proposals are due into ICE, the state utility company running the tender, by 27 July, with the results expected two months later.

An industry source well-connected with the process tells Recharge that the tender has created excitement in the Costa Rican wind sector, but a challenge lies in the details of the tariff for the 20-year contract.
