Redesigned plans for the Big Field project in Cornwall, southwest England, would leave the wind farm viable without support, said Good Energy.
The UK government is ending support for new onshore projects as part of a spending clampdown by the country’s energy secretary Amber Rudd.
Good Energy said it is confident the 11-turbine project with an up-to 38.5MW capacity can also meet new government planning strictures, which require “clear backing” from the local community.
