The decision came after review of a third environmental impact assessment, which concluded any development had the potential to harm a species of black duck.
Consequently, the submission of bids from pre-qualifiers — Vattenfall, WPD HOFOR Danish Offshore Consortium, European Energy Nearshore Consortium — has been delayed until 1 September, to allow parties time to consider the amendment’s implications.
The location in question, Sejerø Bugt, was one of six positioned for development, and was capped at 100MW capacity.
