Dredging International, a unit of the DEME Group, has won a €130m ($152.8m) contract from Belgian transmission system operator Elia for the submarine power cable installation for the Modular Offshore Grid (MOG) in the North Sea that will connect four future offshore arrays to the mainland.

Elia’s MOG, or so-called 'electricity plug', includes an offshore switchyard platform (OSY) about 40km off the Zeebrugge coast, to which the under-construction 309MW Rentel and the planned Seastar, Northwester 2 and Mermaid arrays will be linked.
