The auction rules have been published online for public consultation through to 24 October. The auction is tentatively scheduled for 19 December, confirming earlier reports by Recharge.
Brazil's energy planning authority, EPE, announced earlier this year that the government will change auction mechanisms to plan expansion of its 110,000km ahead of the commissioning of wind power projects, to avoid plants being built without a connection to the grid.
