Cubico, a joint venture between Spanish bank Santander and Canadian pension funds Ontario Teacher´s Pension Plan and Public Sector Pension Investment Board, has opened an office in São Paulo to appraise further investments in the country, as well as in Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Panama and Costa Rica.
The wind assets bought by Cubico – the 182MW Caetés and the 210MW Ventos dos Araripe projects – are located inland in the states of Pernambuco and Piauí.
