CTC, based in Darlington, UK, will be responsible for laying, installing and burying 17 power cable arrays that will link up the subsea wind turbine foundations on the bed of the Solway Firth. The Robin Rigg wind farm comprises 60 turbines supplying power via two export cables.
Using their vessel the MV Union Beaver, CTC will spend around 90 days laying and installing 98mm- and 113mm-diameter cables, followed by post-installation inspections and testing.
