The speed at which corporations are moving towards renewables became more evident today, with the release of RE100’s second annual report.

This global initiative of businesses working towards meeting 100% of their energy requirements from green energy grew from 53 companies to 87 last year — with 11 members already achieving their target, and many making significant progress. Google, for instance, says it will reach its 100% renewables goal this year, while Goldman Sachs jumped from 14% to 86% in 2015 (latest available figures), paper-carton giant Elopak leapt from 18% to 86% and clothing retailer H&M bounced from 27% to 78%.
