The deadline for submission of proposals is 22 August with Cuyahoga officials anticipating a rapid selection decision as they want the work completed this summer. Ohio Department of Natural Resources is collaborating with the county, which is a member of the Great Lakes Energy Development Task Force, a public-private partnership created in 2006.
The county will pay the contractor. “It’s a way to help facilitate growth of the offshore wind industry,” says Donny Davis, head of community relations at Lake Erie Energy Development Corp.
