The hearing is set for 7-9 September in Denver.

Rush Creek would be both the largest wind farm in Colorado and among the larger facilities being advanced by developers in the US. Xcel would build, own and operate it.

The facility will have 400MW and 200MW components that will cost $915m to build.

PUC commissioners will use the hearing to help determine whether to approve construction, a move that would require issuance of a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity.
