Cleveland Public Power can now negotiate a 5MW power purchase agreement and contracts to carry out upgrade work on an onshore substation that will handle power generated from six planned 3.45MW turbines via a subsea cable. That unit links the city grid with PJM Interconnection, which operates the regional electric grid
The utility will purchase switches, transformers and other equipment and perform the upgrade, then bill FORUSA.
