The 800-mile (1,287km) Plains and Eastern Clean Line project will transport wind power from southwest Kansas, the Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma to Arkansas, Tennessee and other markets in the US Mid-South and Southeast.
After the project has received all permits, and regulatory and financial approvals, the agreement anticipates that Fluor and its subcontractor Pike Electric will provide full EPC services for the overshead high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line.
