Chinese developer Longyuan overtook Spain’s Acciona to take fourth spot in terms of installed capacity at the end of 2010, behind Spain’s Iberdrola, the US NextEra Energy Resources and Portugal’s EDP Renovaveis (EDPR).

Datang was in sixth place and Huaneng was in seventh place, overtaking E.ON Climate & Renewables and Italy’s Enel, while Huadian was in tenth place. Eight of the top 25 global players were Chinese in 2010.
