The renewable energy department of CEPRI signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Garrad covering co-operation in areas including prototype measurements, turbine inspections, safety, and the development of industry standards within China.
The partners will jointly offer prototype testing in areas such as power performance, noise and low-voltage ride through (LVRT) systems.
"The combined expertise of two recognised organisations will put Chinese wind turbine manufacturers in a better position to be able to optimise their products to the international standards, and this will boost customer confidence," says Mathias Steck, regional manager Asia Pacific for GL Garrad Hassan.
CEPRI – a subsidiary of China State Grid – has worked with GL Garrad Hassan since 2007.
