The deal marks CGN's debut in the European wind sector and what the Chinese group said will be the "beginning of concrete co-operation between CGN and EDF in Europe".
The two companies are involved in "ongoing discussions" over collaboration in the UK's Hinkley Point new-nuclear project.
CGN will take an 80% stake in the wind farms, all in England, with EDF Energy Renewables keeping the remainder and continuing to operate the plants.
