Local pressreports suggest China will help with financing of the 15bn tenge ($100m) windfarm, located 100km from the northeastern town of Ekibastuz, without giving further details.
Futureco-operation between the two countries on renewables was discussed at thefounding meeting of the Kazakhstan-Chinese Business Council, attended by thepresidents of both countries.
The Kazakhstangovernment wants to expand renewable capacity to 1GW by the end of thedecade from 110MW last year.
