The Shenyang-based turbine maker will buy a 61.5MW wind farm from local developer Wind Tex Energy in order to demonstrate its new technology.
The wind farm is part of a total 342MW project under development by Wind Tex in Lubbock.
CCWE is one of China’s newer turbine makers, ranking number nine in terms of installation volume in the country last year. It increased its installations from 2010 by almost 30% to some 625.5MW.
