Chile is set to add another 1.2GW of renewable power this year after almost quadrupling its solar and wind capacities in 2014.

Good solar irradiation and an improving business environment is attracting investment, and according to the government more than 800MW of solar power plants are under construction.

The government is set to change its power regulations in a bid to reduce risk for investors and increase competition.
