Despite a higher R$179/MWh ($56/MWh) cap price for the 27 April alternative-energy power auction, the company said it will only decide whether to bid at the last minute – although it confirmed it has registered wind projects for the process.

“The increase in the cap price reflects higher domestic costs and the [worsened] macroeconomic environment, but does mean that margins have risen,” the company told Recharge.

“CPFL
