Since the end of 2010, Oklahoma’s wind generation capacity has more than tripled from 1.482GW to 5.184GW, according to the American Wind Energy Association. It now ranks fourth among the 50 states for installations trailing only neighboring Texas, Iowa and California.

The zero-emissions tax credit (ZETC) was a $27.3m subsidy for the local wind industry in 2013, the last year data was available from the state government.
