WEG did not divulge terms of the transaction with Portugal-based Efacec Group. The deal needs to be approved by Brazil's anti-trust body.
Efacec Energy Service supplies equipment and services to the energy sector including construction of solar plants in Brazil and other countries. It also operated wind farms in Europe.
Efacec in Brazil is located in the country's northeastern state of Pernambuco with R$16m ($7m) in annual revenue.
