Mines and energy minister Fernando Coelho Filho, giving his first public speech at an event in São Paulo this week, said that he would pick a technical team to help solve the complex liquidity and regulatory problems that the Brazilian power sector faces, including delays and lack of investments in transmission lines.
He also said that Brazil “will focus our efforts in innovation for the sector, and expand even further investments and the participation of renewables [in the power mix]”.
