The projects are located in the states of Bahia, Ceara, Piaui and Rio Grande do Norte.
The 28 November A-5 auction is the third auction that includes wind power this year. In the two previous auctions – A-3 and the reserve auction – 1.32GW of new wind were contracted.
So far, the government said that 18.76GW of wind power has been shortlisted for the next auction with a cap price of R$137/MWh.
