The announcement comes a few weeks after wind power players in Brazil said they would consider investing in transmission lines to ease grid-link bottlenecks, because a complex and slow licensing process, and declining return on investments, have delayed projects and led to no-shows in recent transmission line tenders.
The project will be Patria's inaugural power transmission project in Brazil, and it was the only bidder for the line.
