Although August is when wind picks up in Brazil's northeastern region, driving turbine productivity, this year's output was at higher than the 43% registered in the same month a year ago.
Wind farms in the state of Bahia continued leading the country, reaching productivity levels of 60% -- up from 52% in July, Brazil's Power Trading Chamber (CCEE) said in a report.
