“In general, things are going very well in Brazil”, she said in phone interview from the WindEnergy Hamburg conference, where she has been holding talks with industry investors. While declining to name them, Melo says that several want to invest in Brazil. “From the talks I've been holding here, Brazil is very attractive.”
According to Melo, Brazil expects to contract for at least 2GW of wind annually for the coming years as it strives to implement it's 10-year energy plan.
