New Energy Minister Eduardo Braga says the government will hold seven auctions for new generation capacity and transmission lines in 2015. This includes a renewables auction scheduled for April and the A-3 auction on 24 July.
He says Brazil in 2015 aims to add 6.41GW to existing nationwide 134GW installed capacity. The wind industry expects that 3GW of new capacity will come from wind.
