“This is very good news,” said Élbia Silva Gannoum, executive president of the Brazilian Wind Power Association (ABEEólica). “The most important thing is that Argentina will now join Brazil, Chile and Uruguay in the trend of having a plan for renewables in the region.”
Argentina’s congress has just approved major changes to a 2006 law extending the 2016 target for an 8% renewables share to 2017 and setting a target of 20% for 2025.
