“Principle Power has not withdrawn their lease quest; we are just not processing the unsolicited lease request at this time at the request of the applicant,” a BOEM spokesman told Recharge.
The agency had earlier said the developer had withdrawn the lease request in June. Several weeks earlier, DOE announced it would no longer provide funding for the 24MW pilot after it was unable to meet certain benchmarks for additional disbursements.
