“There is a lag between the auction and the approval of the loans,” Lígia Barros de Chagas Ferreira, manager at BNDES's alternative energy department told Recharge.
Loan approvals in 2015 were up 13% from R$6.58bn a year earlier because it related to projects contracted in tenders held in 2013 and 2014. In 2016, the bank expects to finalise analysis of these projects and also for those contracted at auctions in 2015.
