Early findings of a probe into a blade-fall from a newly-installed turbine suggest the failure is “an isolated incident”, said wind OEM Vestas.

An investigation was launched after the blade became detached from a V150 4.2MW machine at the almost-completed 336MW Dundonnell Wind Farm in the Australian state of Victoria.

Nobody was hurt in the incident on Monday but all turbines operating at the project have been removed from service, developer Tilt Renewables said earlier.
