BioTherm nabs 120MW wind, 131MW PV in South Africa R4

South Africa’s government named BioTherm as preferred bidder with its 120MW Golden Valley Wind project in Eastern Cape, and 45MW Aggeneys and 86MW Konkoonsies PV developments, both in Northern Cape, said a company statement.

All three projects are due to reach completion by the third quarter of 2017 at a total investment cost of R4.5bn ($370m).

BioTherm was a successful bidder in South Africa's first renewables round and now operates 49MW it built under the earlier process.
