The Baltic Sea Offshore Forum (BASOF), a platform for stakeholders to promote offshore wind power across the region, is working on a Baltic Sea offshore wind action plan similar to one issued by countries around the North Sea last year.

Members of BASOF – a network of wind associations initiated by Sweden in 2014 and now chaired by Estonia – this week at a meeting in Tallinn decided to formulate the Baltic Sea action plan, or declaration, in order to jointly develop offshore wind across the region, said Martin Kruus, chairman of the Estonian wind power association.
