EnBW commissioned the construction of the 40-metre-wide and 15-metre high transformer rig to Alstom Grid and WeserWind.
Installation is expected within around 50 hours, as a good weather phase is foreseen for the coming days.
The platform will bundle electricity from the offshore wind turbines and transform 33kV power into 150kV electricity that will be transported via subsea cables to land from the wind farm 32km north of the island of Rügen.
