Germany’s Nordex exited last year, having had manufacturing facilities there since 1998, while compatriots Senvion stopped selling turbines there this year after a decade of activity.
“No foreign manufacturers can [over] the long term be successful in China,” says Senvion chief executive Andreas Nauen, adding that the authorities have long favoured local suppliers.
