After a well-documented 15-year struggle to get the 468MW scheme afloat, Cape Wind parent Energy Management Inc. (EMI) finally appeared to be on the road to scheduled July start of construction in Nantucket Sound south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Then the project took on water, leaving both the developer and its many component and service suppliers, some of whom had invested many millions of dollars in preparation, in the lurch.
