Acciona says it has invested around A$450m ($270m) in the project, which created 200 jobs during the construction phase and another 26 permanent jobs for the operation and maintenance of the wind park.
Brett Thomas, Acciona’s Director for the Asia-Pacific area, says the start-up of the wind farm “represents a highly important milestone for Acciona, the region of Waubra and the renewables sector in Australia.”
