According to local press reports, the investment was announced after a meeting between Genneia general manager Jorge Brito and Chubut governor Mario Das Neves.
The 77.4MW Rawson is one of the biggest wind farms in Argentina, which has 279MW of installed wind.
The announcement is part of a series of moves by local authorities and companies to kick-start investment after the revision of the country's renewable-energy laws and the election of pro-market president Mauricio Macri.
