The wind farm will be supplied out of Impsa’s Brazilian factories and is expected to come on line in 2014.

Impsa will deliver its IWP83 direct-drive wind turbines to the project, with towers of 72-meters.

The wind farm is part of the Venezuelan government’s attempt to increase the role of renewable energy in the electricity supply mix.

Elsewhere, Petróleos de Venezuela is building a 100MW wind farm in Falcón state with 76 Gamesa machines.
