Shares in the Spanish wind group soared today after a report that the German giant is considering a bid, with a Gamesa statement saying nothing has been settled, but also not denying that something is afoot.
From Siemens’ point of view, it’s not hard to see the attraction of Gamesa if you’re a runaway leader in the offshore market but pondering how to turbo-charge your onshore business.
