The EC is conducting a full-scale probe of the Alstom-GE deal, part of which would see the US group acquire Alstom’s onshore wind business and the two parties form a joint venture in the offshore wind sector.
The EC – which has worries over the deal’s impact on competition in the gas turbine market – will set out its objections as early as today, according to reports.
