The ‘Breeveertien II’ windfarm is the largest every consented by the Netherlands. It wil be sited 60 kilometres off the coast of Ijmuiden, and boast 97 turbines.
The announcement follows close on the heels of the Dutch government’s 15 January consent of Airtricity’s proposed ‘West Rijn’ windfarm.
Airtricity says its focus will now be on securing financial support for the projects from the Dutch government through its renewables support mechanism.
