Ebitda at AWP rose to €84m ($91.3m) in 2015 from €39m in 2014, helping the overall Ebitda of Acciona's energy unit to soar 23.6% last year to €2.72bn.
The Energy result was also helped by higher international power generation and the installation of 128MW of new wind capacity, mainly in South Africa and Poland.
The good results at AWP and Acciona's wind installation business are good news for German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex, which is waiting for regulatory approval for its €785m acquisition of AWP.
